Freedumb - Jim Jefferies Netflix Special

Hey hey everyone!!

This time I decided to do something different and do a review of a show I watched on Netflix

Having Netflix gives me access to great shows and a varied range of topics to discusss. So today I chose to write something about Freedumb, the Jim Jefferies Special on Netflix.

So in case you don't know, Jim Jefferies is an Australian comedian and actor, he has done some sitcoms, Stand up specials and is the host of the Jim Jefferies show on Comedy Central.

I'll let you know right away that his type of comedy is not for everyone, and if you are easily offended, don't watch it. But if you're like me and you laugh at everything, give it a go.

Jim has extremely dark humor, he jokes about everything, from mental illness, cancer, rape, religion to politics and even himself. He defends the right to make jokes about any subject. as they are nothing but jokes and don't represent his true opinions.

Usually his shows open up the debate around free speech and what is acceptable to say. What I noticed is that many people think that because he makes jokes about difficult topics it means that he is somehow downgrading victims of the said topic, and that is just not true. Many viewers don't understand the difference of a joke that is made to make you laugh and an opinion. As he says in this special he does get a lot of backlash from haters that just don't get his comedy.

He covers a bunch of different topics and I don't want to give it away. So if you like stand up comedy and enjoy brutal, dark humor I'm sure you will like this show.

If you don't, just give it a pass and watch whatever you like :)

See you next time!!!
